LIMA — The Lima Family YMCA will be hosting a 1st-8th grade Jr. Cavs Basketball League. Both boys and girls will have a team in 1st-4th grade. The boys will have a team for the 5th-8th grade as well.

VAN WERT — The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced on Friday Tucker Laux and Arin Smith were named Trooper and Dispatcher of the Year.

LIMA — Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Kenton Gibson was named Lima Post Trooper of the Year, the agency announced Friday.

ALLEN COUNTY — Governor Mike DeWine plans to allocate around $5 million for Justice Assistance grants in Ohio. The grants funded through the Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Office of Criminal Justice Services can be used for assistance, strategic planning, equipment and research.
