Bluffton University honors seniors

BLUFFTON — Four Bluffton University seniors received departmental honors for independent study projects:

• Brooke Barnes, a biology major from Shelby, for “Everyday nutrition and its effects on the eyes.”

• Kelly Bilen, an art major from Archbold, for “Who Am I.”

• Abby Bush, a writing major from Marion, for “Gerda and Kay.”

• MacKenzie Martin, a speech-language pathology and audiology major from Hartville, for “Earphone epidemic: prevalence of earphone use and listening behaviors among students.”

The university honored six seniors for completing the honors program: Brooke Barnes, Kelly Bilen, Abby Bush, Jackson Clark, Ethan Ly and MacKenzie Martin.

Bluffton also honored 30 seniors as distinguished scholars: Rosanna Barber, Jenía Freewalt, Matt DeRitter, Adrianna Ruiz Suarez, Seth Altman, Rachel Larson, Dakota Bricker, Bluffton, Ohio, Brittany Ramirez, Olivia Daugherty, Abby Bush, Marion, Carina DiMarco, Kryshel Dales, MacKenzie Martin, Ezra Deitering, Ben Davidson, Carson Kindred, Simon Shawk, Garrett Rice, Andre Wynes, Olivia Zender, Leah Bowman, Brady Johnston, Meredith Obringer, Shelby Stammen, Ethan Ly, Danielle King, Lindsey Shaw, Elijah Zimmerman and Jocelyn Shade.
