Adjustment board revokes restaurant petition

LIMA — The Lima Board of Adjustments revoked a petition for a new restaurant to be built at a previous church.

The board said the restrictions it placed on a variance that was granted for Heavenly Soulfood Supper Club were not signed by owner Catherine Munday and therefore had to be denied.

The Lima News reported in October that Munday met with the board to discuss the variance for the location at 700 E. Eureka St.

Plans for the club called for activities including live entertainment to go with weekday restaurant hours.
