LIMA — Ope Balogun finally smiled and relaxed a little bit.

LIMA — Testimony got underway Tuesday in Allen County Common Pleas Court in the trial of Carl Mollett, charged with discharging a firearm at law enforcement officers after barricading himself inside a Lima home last summer to avoid arrest on gross sexual imposition allegations.

Elizabeth MacDonell, who was born into a horse-and-buggy world and lived until the eve of the Atomic Age, possessed what a biographer described as “a strong sense of the historic.”

LIMA — JobsOhio has announced its fourth year of the inclusion grant. According to a recent press release, the organization hopes to support minority-owned businesses and businesses in distressed communities. Each grant awarded is $25,000. The organization helps companies who are interested in utilizing the dollars for land and building costs, equipment, infrastructure and site development.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A Delphos man charged in federal district court with assaulting law enforcement during the Jan. 6, 2020 breach of the U.S. Capitol will be sentenced Aug. 19 after accepting a plea deal from federal prosecutors.
