Woman went wrong way on U.S. 30 in three-vehicle crash

LIMA — A driver involved in a crash with two semi-trucks Wednesday traveled the wrong way on U.S. Route 30, an Ohio State Highway Patrol officer said.

The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday near Leatherwood Road.

According to Lt. Nick Boes of the Lima post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Quispechani Marcelhy, 28, of Sacramento, California, drove a sedan traveling the wrong way on the westbound side of the interstate when she was involved in a crash with two semi-trucks, driven by Arthur Clark, 48, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Timothy Stewart, 60, of Winchester, Indiana.

Boes said Marcelhy had injuries to her abdomen and arms and impairment was suspected to be a factor in the incident. She was taken to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center.

The westbound lanes remained closed until about 1:30 p.m.

The case has been sent to the prosecutor’s office for review, and charges are pending.
