Findlay man sentenced to prison for sexual conduct with minor

OTTAWA — A Findlay man was sentenced to 14 months in prison Thursday in the Putnam County Common Pleas Court for a fourth-degree felony charge of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

Jason Alford, 21, was also indicted on possessing criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony, but the charge was dismissed. This sentence will run at the same time as the 10 months in prison he received in July in Wyandot County for importuning. He must also be registered as a tier-one sex offender for 15 years.

According to court documents, Alford engaged in sexual conduct with a girl who is now 15 years old from Sept. 1, 2023, to Jan. 29, 2024, in Putnam County.
