Woman taken to hospital after crashing into house

LIMA — A young adult woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after her car crashed into a house at 254 S. Pine St. on Thursday around 2 p.m.

According to Lima Police Sgt. Bryce Garman, a witness said the woman was traveling on South Pine Street when she lost control, causing her to crash into the front of the house. The woman was taken to St. Rita’s Medical Center and she was cited with reasonable control. Garman said the house looked like it was leaning and not livable. The occupants were not home at the time.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Garman couldn’t confirm the name of the driver or possible factors of the crash.

According to the Allen County Auditor’s website, the house is owned by Michael Stahl.
