Semi overturns on U.S. Route 127 after crash

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP — Two people suffered minor injuries after a semi-truck struck a car and overturned at 7:43 a.m. Thursday on U.S. Route 127 at Wren Landeck Road in Van Wert County.

According to a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Scott Rockhold, 53, of Urbana, traveled northbound on U.S. Route 127. He slowed to turn left onto Wren Landeck Road when a semi-truck driven by Egues Leon Victor, 32, of Bradenton, Florida, swerved into the opposite lane of travel to avoid hitting Rockhold but struck Rockhold as he was in the process of turning. The semi then traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned onto the roadway.

All lanes of U.S. Route 127 were closed for approximately three hours. Both drivers had minor injuries.
