LIMA — The Allen County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help as its investigation continues into the 2023 slaying of a Lima woman.
On the morning of Nov. 16, 2023, deputies responded to a mobile home park at 1912 E. Elm St., Lima, in reference to a report of a deceased person. Upon their arrival officers found Nikole Burgess, 44, dead in one of the bedrooms of the mobile home.
Detectives from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, along with a crime scene investigator from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, processed the scene and started an investigation, according to Sgt. Russel Hunlock, who heads up the detective bureau.
The coroner from Lucas County ruled Burgess’ death a homicide, and the investigation continues. Anyone with has information about the investigation is asked to call the detective bureau at 419-993-1427 to speak with Hunlock.
