Juvenile arrested after pursuit

LIMA — Lima police pursued a juvenile in a stolen car around 4 p.m. Saturday, which led to a crash and the juvenile being taken into custody.

According to a news release, officers identified the stolen vehicle traveling in the area of Jameson Avenue and North Street. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop and the juvenile failed to stop, driving through several stop signs and traffic lights and committing several traffic violations.

The juvenile traveled north on Cole Street out of the city limits. He turned onto West Street and continued south back toward town. He disregarded road-closed signs and crashed into a construction zone. The juvenile then fled on foot and was found hiding in a nearby bean field. He was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.

The name and age of the juvenile were not released.
