LIMA — It was a big week for Lima Senior on the pitch.
Led by Emmanuel Jokinen-Rutz’s hat trick, the Spartans knocked off conference-rival Scott last Monday.
Josiah Phillips netted two goals and Antoine Cowan added one in the win.
On Saturday, Lima Senior tangled with cross-town rival LCC and came away with a 2-0 shutout behind scores from Jokinen-Rutz and Andrew Bowsher.
The Spartans are now 2-1 heading into a Wednesday night matchup against Start.

Several area boys soccer players netted a goal in recent games:
• Landon Verhoff scored for Kalida in a 1-1 tie with Elida. Logan Kerner (2), Caden Looser and Braylon Smith scored for Kalida in a 4-1 win over Fort Jennings.
• Eben Jackson scored for Elida in a 1-1 tie with Kaldia.
• Aiden Gallaspie (2) and Josh Tenaglia scored for Wapakoneta in a 3-1 win over Jackson Center. Gillaspie (3), Gavin Gillaspie and Landon Jordan scored in the Redskins’ 5-0 win over Defiance.
• Logan Jolliff (2), Max Puerto and Andrew Allen scored for Ada in a 4-3 win over Miller City.
• Nolyn Wright (3), Malachi Menke, Caynan Schick, Drew Marshall and Quincy Seddelmeyer scored for Temple Christian in a 7-0 win over Cory-Rawson. Menke, Seddelmeyer and Alex Patrick scored for the Pioneers in a 3-0 win over Allen East.
• Levi Antrim (2) and Jackson Brauen (2) scored for Bluffton in a 4-0 win over Spencerville.
• Luca Fusillo (3), Tate Bender, Noah Scheid and Jake Dietering scored for Shawnee in a 6-0 win over Elida.
• Jayden Kuhlman (2) and Recker Searfoss scored for Ottawa-Glandorf in a 3-1 win over Kenton.
• Micah Bowman scored Kenton’s lone goal in a 3-1 loss to Ottawa-Glandorf. Luis Fernando (2) and Alex Miller scored for Kenton in a 3-2 win over Riverdale.
• Jordan Berelsman scored for Fort Jennings in a 4-1 loss to Kalida.
• Bain Stegbauer and Collin Davis scored for Continental in a 2-1 win over Miller City.
