MARYSVILLE — A St. Marys man escaped injuries after another vehicle rear-ended his vehicle on U.S. 33 early Sunday morning in Union County.
The Marysville post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded at 12:06 p.m. Sunday on U.S 33, east of Honda Parkway.
The patrol discovered a 2013 HoOnda Civic, operated by Leanne R. Orozco, 28, of Galloway, traveled west on U.S. 33 at a high rate of speed. Her vehicle struck a 2014 Hyundai Elantra, operated by Seth M. Norman, 34, of St. Marys.
Medflight transported Orozco to OSU Medical Center with serious injuries. Norman did not report any injuries.
Alcohol was a suspected factor in the crash. Both drivers wore their safety belts.
Assisting at the scene were Allen Township Fire and EMS, Northwestern EMS, Marysville Fire Department, Marysville Police Division and Union County Sheriff’s Office.
