Aug. 15

Jacob Langhals, 21, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to attempted illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance and attempted possessing criminal tools, both misdemeanors. He faces up to six months in jail and up to $1,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a presentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 10 a.m. Sept. 12. The state is recommending jail time of 90 days.

According to court records, Langhals is accused of possessing or viewing material or performance that shows a minor who was not his child in a state of nudity on April 8. He possessed a photo or video of “Jane Doe” in a state of nudity when she was a minor while at 512 Kennedy Street in Ottawa. He was also charged with possessing under his control a device with the purpose to use it in the commission of a felony offense, a laptop while at 512 Kennedy Street in Ottawa.James A. Morgan, 20, Ottoville, pleaded guilty to failure to comply with order or signal of a police officer. He faces up to 36 months in prison and $10,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a presentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 10:30 a.m. Sept. 12.

Aug. 19

Jason T. Alford, 21, Findlay, pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. He faces up to 18 months in prison and $5,000 in fines. Bond was revoked while a presentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 10 a.m. Sept. 19.

According to court records, Alford engaged in sexual conduct with a “Jane Doe,” a person not his spouse who was older than 13 years of age, but less than 16 years of age, born in 2009 between Sept. 1, 2023 through Jan. 29, 2024 in Putnam County. Also between Sept. 1, 2023 through Jan. 29, 2024, Alford used a light blue Hyundai Sedan in the commission of the offense while at 1001 N. Defiance St., Ottawa.

Aug. 21

Tina M. Candia, 55, Ottawa, was sentenced to eight months in prison on a charge of attempted domestic violence. She was given credit for 110 days served.

Cody J. Carroll, Continental, and Amanda M. Ricker, Temecula, Calif., were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married July 10, 2021 in Columbus Grove and have no children.

Christie Garcia, Leipsic, was granted a divorce from Alberto G. Ayuso, address unknown. They were married in March 2009 and have three children.

Aug. 22

Hunter R. Baldridge, 27, Findlay, was sentenced to 12 months in prison for violating community control sanctions. The violations included using cocaine and fentanyl. He was given credit for 253 days previously served and any additional days while awaiting transport to prison. He was convicted of possession of fentanyl.

Donovan L. Joyner, 26, Defiance, was placed on five years community control for attempted failure to register and criminal damaging. He must obtain and maintain employment and successfully complete all counseling and treatment recommended. He has been convicted of a felony offense and is serving a sentence from Williams County.

Maria Hernandez, 30, Leipsic, was fined $150 for driving without a valid license.

Aug. 19

Andre M. Woods, 29, Ottawa, charged with drug abuse/possession, a felony, bound over to common pleas court.

Uriel D. Rodriguez Perez, 37, Belmore, was fined $150 for driving without a valid license.

Aug. 20

Randi L. Drew, 31, Cloverdale, was fined $100 on an amended charge of disorderly conduct.

Aug. 22

Jaden D. Frye, 21, Elida, was fined $100 for carrying a concealed weapon. The Clock 22 was forfeited but the Micro MLK kit may be returned to him.
