Man pleads not guilty for bulk methamphetamine

LIMA — A man pleaded not guilty Monday in Allen County Common Pleas Court to allegedly having bulk methamphetamine.

Shawn Metzger, 37, was indicted on three counts of aggravated drug trafficking, which are second-degree felonies, and engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, a first-degree felony. There is also a specification to forfeit $644 related to the drug crimes.

According to the indictment, between Feb. 22 and 27, Metzger allegedly had between five and fifty times the bulk amount of methamphetamine to sell, and the offense was committed in the vicinity of a substance addiction services provider or a recovering addict. The engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity charge is for the months of December through February.
