OTTAWA — Two more local Rite Aid stores are closing their doors. Of the 30 stores announced on the company’s latest bankruptcy court filings from Friday night, the Russells Point and Ottawa locations were included.
Since filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the fall of 2023, nearly 500 locations have been reported to close nationwide.
At least 14 locations across 10 places in the surrounding area have announced plans to close within the past 10 months. Ottawa and Russells point were the only area locations that hadn’t been announced for closure yet.
