Curtain Call with Kevin Ashba

Enjoy some free music at the Happy Daz Patio behind Veterans Memorial Civic Center, 7 Town Square, Lima.

Attendees will enjoy music by Kevin Ashba, and a cash bar will be on hand at the event.

Heartbeat of Lima Car Show

5 to 8 p.m. Friday

The Tom Ahl Family of Dealerships, 617 King Ave., Lima, will be the site of a car show fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, with all proceeds supporting the work of crisis pregnancy center Heartbeat of Lima.

Car registrations are $10 and will begin at 4 p.m. The show is open to all vehicles and motorcycles. There will be more than 30 trophies available at the show, including best of show prizes for Jeeps, Corvettes, lowriders and more. A raffle and auction will also be held at the event.

There is no cost to attend.

Little Nashville in Downtown Ottawa

5 to 11:30 p.m. Friday

Music lovers will want to make their way to downtown Ottawa Friday as multiple bands will be performing at multiple venues during Friday’s Little Nashville event.

Love Conquers All at Pangle Pavilion

7 p.m. Saturday

Enjoy a hip hop music showcase featuring both local artists and artists from the broader region at the Love Conquers All Music Series at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Pangle Pavilion at the Greater Lima Region Park in downtown Lima.

National Night Out

Several area law enforcement agencies will be hosting National Night Out events Tuesday, featuring first responders and community partners offering a safe, fun night out for families.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office will hold an event from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the Allen County Fairgrounds, 2750 Harding Highway, Lima. The Lima Police Department will hold an event from 4 to 6 p.m. at Faurot Park on South Cole Street, Lima. Elida’s National Night Out will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Elida Fieldhouse, 301 Hillcrest Drive, Elida. Shawnee Township will host an event from 6 to 9 p.m. at Heritage Park, 2092 Reed Road, Lima. Delphos will hold an event from 6 to 9 p.m. at Stadium Park, 1101 N. Jefferson St., Delphos. Ottawa’s event will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ottawa Memorial Pool, 730 N. Locust St., Ottawa. Wapakoneta’s event will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harmon Park.

• Farmers Market: 4-7 p.m. Thursday in the Laurel Oaks neighborhood, 120 Chickadee Place, Elida.

This will be the final farmer’s market of the year for Laurel Oaks. Admission is $2 for adults and free for kids 10 and under. Anyone interested in being a vendor at the market can email [email protected] for an application.

• Chris Worth & Company: 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Lima Elks Lodge, 302 W. North St., Lima.

Friday’s end of the work week party will feature a performance by Fort Wayne’s Chris Worth & Company. Admission is free for Elks members and $5 for non-Elks members.

• Alter Ego-Lympics: Noon Saturday at Alter Ego Comics, 230 N. Main St., Lima.

Alter Ego Comics will be honoring the spirit of the Olympics by hosting its own competition for comic book fans Saturday, featuring events like bagging and boarding, alphabetizing and trivia. For more information, call 419-224-6700.
