Delphos, all Lima Rite Aid locations set to close

LIMA — The list of Rite Aid store closures keeps growing.

According to a notice filed Friday in the United States Bankruptcy Court District of New Jersey, the location on 506 W. Market St. is the fifth and final store in Lima to close due to the pharmacy chain’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization. All five locations closings have been announced during July.

Other Ohio communities included in the new closure list include the location at 940 Elida Ave., Delphos.

Continuing prescriptions have been moved to Walgreens, according to signage at the stores.

Since filing in October last year, more than 500 stores have been closed nationwide in an attempt to improve its operations.

The company previously announced planned closures for stores at 302 W. Robb Ave., 1415 Bellefontaine Ave., 3230 W. Elm St. and 3710 Shawnee Road in Lima, along with stores in Ada and St. Marys.

The closures have yet to be updated on Rite Aid’s website.
