Trilogy Health to expand Ottawa campus

OTTAWA — Trilogy Health Services is moving forward with plans to expand a senior living campus in Ottawa.

“The Villas at Ottawa” will include 16 buildings with two units each, adding 30 patio homes to The Meadows of Ottawa campus at 147 Putnam Parkway. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2025. The units will be built south of the existing nursing home campus.

“Adding new patio homes provides more options for seniors looking to downsize and find a supportive community,” said Peter Massey, senior vice president of development and facilities management for Trilogy.

This plan and investment aim to address the demand for senior accommodations and living.

“Amidst a landscape where senior living options are scarce, our new addition stands as a beacon of opportunity and growth,” said James Sherry, executive director of the Meadows of Ottawa.

The Meadows of Ottawa maintained a 95.5% occupancy rate over the last five years, according to Trilogy.

Emily Tucker, vice president of Trilogy Health Services, explained that the current state of the Meadows of Ottawa is doing great.

“The Meadows of Ottawa has performed quite well, maintaining about 95% occupancy over the last five years,” she said. “That is a testament to the personalized, attentive care that our teammates provide every day as well as the increasing demand in the marketplace for senior care.”

The Villas expansion will also create an estimated 65 to 75 new jobs in Ottawa.

Trilogy will also break ground on six other locations this year and early next year, one each in Ohio, Michigan and Kentucky and three in Indiana.

Groundbreaking for the Villas at Ottawa is scheduled for this fall.
