Highway Patrol to hold OVI checkpoint in Bath Township

LIMA — The Ohio State Highway Patrol will be conducting an OVI checkpoint from 6 to 8 p.m. today on state Route 81 in Bath Township. The checkpoint will be near mile post 19, in the vicinity of Stewart Road.

Funded through federal grants, the checkpoint is designed to deter and intercept impaired drivers, according to a media release by the highway patrol. Patrols will also be heightened in the area during the checkpoint to help further deter anyone from driving while impaired.
