Continental boil water advisory lifted

CONTINENTAL — A boil water advisory issued Wednesday for the village of Continental has been lifted as of Saturday, according to a release from village administrator Kathy Prowant.

The advisory had initially been issued due to a water leak on the southeast side of the village. According to Prowant, the required water samples have been tested by a certified lab and have tested negative for the contaminants that prompted the advisory, and the water in the village is now safe for all purposes, including drinking, cooking and oral hygiene.
