Continental issues boil water advisory

CONTINENTAL — The Continental Water Department issued a boil water alert Wednesday due to a main line water leak in the southeast side of the village.

The village is advising residents to boil their water before drinking, cooking, making ice cubes or brushing their teeth, according to a press release.

The water is safe for bathing.

The alert will remain in effect until testing from a certified lab shows water meets EPA standards, which could take 48 hours.
