Two fires under investigation in Delphos

DELPHOS — The Delphos Fire Department is investigating two fires that occurred a few days apart.

According to Delphos Fire Chief Justin Roberts, in the afternoon of May 29, a fire broke out at a house at 484 S. Main St., Delphos, owned by Anthony Foust, and became fully involved on the first and second floors on the front of the house. No occupants were inside at the time. The house is considered a total loss, as there is heavy smoke and water damage throughout.

Then around noon June 1, crews were sent to a fire at the home at 615 Dayton St., owned by Kimberly Joseph. An adult and a juvenile were in the home and made it out without injuries. There was fire damage to the exterior of the home and smoke damage throughout.

Where both fires originated is still under investigation. The American Township Fire Department and Fort Jennings Volunteer Fire Department provided assistance at both fires.
