Argument leads to shooting in Lima

LIMA — An altercation led to a shooting Saturday in Lima, according to a release from the Lima Police Department.

Just after 12:30 p.m. officers responded to the 800 block of Mackenzie Drive in Lima after a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers learned that two adult males, who were not identified in the release, had been arguing before the incident turned violent and one of the males pulled out a handgun, shooting the other subject.

The shooting victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. His condition was not included in the release. The suspect in the incident was taken into custody at the scene and is currently being held on suspicion of felonious assault.
