May 13

Brandon J. Anderson, Celina, and Wengerd Home Improvements, LLC, Decatur, Ind., was granted judgment against Michael Gerding, Continental, and Tamela Gerding, Continental, in the amount of $53,500. But if $40,000 is paid before May 5, the plaintiff will acknowledge full satisfaction of their claims and will take no further efforts to collect any amounts owed.

Timothy L. Cupp, 68, Bryan, was sentenced to 90 days jail for attempted aggravated possession, misdemeanor. The sentence was suspended and he was ordered to pay all costs of the prosecution. Any evidence seized by the state is to be destroyed.

May 14

Nataley Westrick, Ottawa, and Matthew Westrick, Ottawa, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married Nov. 6, 2004 in Keywest, Fla., and have two children.

May 15

Garrett R. Schroeder, 19, Ottawa, was sentenced to 17 months in prison for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, 11 months in prison for assault, 11 months in prison for illegal use of minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, six months in prison for illegal use of minor in nudity-oriented material and six months in prison for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, creating a total sentence of 75 months with restitution of $250. He was given credit for 110 days served. Two counts of illegal use of minor in nudity-oriented material or performance and possessing criminal tools were dismissed. Schroeder was also classified as a Tier Two offender and will have to register yearly for 25 years.

Darrin E. Ward, Lima, was granted a divorce from Deanna M. Ward, Ottawa. They were married Nov. 5, 2001 in Lima, and have no children.

May 2

Arley Santis, 22, Findlay, was fined $150 for driving without a valid license.

May 8

Humberto Lopez Mendez, 24, Wauseon, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: 180 days jail, 170 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspension. He also pleaded guilty to no operator’s license. Sentence: 180 days jail, 150 days suspended, $250 fine, with sentence to be served consecutive.

May 9

Ronald Runyon, 56, Van Wert, charged with tampering with evidence, a felony, bound over to common pleas court.

May 13

Amber D. Osting, 45, Fort Jennings, pleaded guilty to theft. Sentence: 180 days jail, 170 days suspended, and fined $50. She also pleaded guilty to another charge of theft. Sentence: 180 days jail, suspended, $50 fine, and not be present at any Dollar General store.

Ulises L. Escamilla, 21, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 30 days suspended, $750 fine, one year license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP.

Diego M. Jorge, 25, Delphos, pleaded guilty to no operator’s license. Sentence: 180 days jail, suspended, $250 fine. A charge of failure to reinstate was dismissed.

May 14

Joseph Saldana, 38, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to stopping after accident. Sentence: 180 days jail, 170 days suspended, $200 fine, one-year license suspension, and pay $500 in restitution. Charges of no operators license and right of way were dismissed.

May 15

Cadence K. Rowe, 19, Elida, charged with drug abuse/possession, a felony, bound over to common pleas court.

Juan C. Ponce, 31, Indianapolis, Ind., was fined $150 for driving without a valid license.
