Car crashes into Elm Street barrier

LIMA — Slick road conditions led to a one-vehicle crash early Monday in Lima.

The accident occurred on Lima’s west side just before 8:50 a.m. According to the Lima Police Department, a Toyota Celica was turning left off Jameson Avenue onto West Elm Street when the driver lost control due to road conditions and struck a protective barrier, causing the front of the vehicle to be suspended mid-air.

The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle and whose name was not disclosed, was not injured but did receive a citation, according to the police department.

The vehicle was later towed from the scene, and there were no reports of additional property damage.
