Governor announces $38K for drug task force

LIMA — Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced $2.4 million in grant money to go toward sheriff’s offices for drug task forces and it will include $38,313.66 for the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.

The money will be spread to 32 forces with RecoveryOhio funding to help them “identify high-level drug traffickers, dismantle large drug trafficking organizations, interrupt the flow of money and drugs from international cartels, and prevent the sale of illegal narcotics to those suffering from substance use disorder,” according to the announcement.
