‘Super scary’ jump ends in Good Vibes: Lima couple fulfills dream with tea and coffee shop

LIMA — A local couple set out to open a tea shop and what they thought would take three years took only six months of their time. Jessica and Adam Moorman moved to Lima after living and working in Wapakoneta. On April 1, Jessica opened a tea shop named Good Vibes Nutrition. Just a few short weeks later, her husband Adam opened a coffee shop, Reservation Alley, right next door.

“We’ve always wanted to own our own business,” said Moorman. “We used to clean houses and things like that but we wanted to have an actual store. When we got to this place, he told us that we could have both or one spot. So we said yeah, we’re just going to do both — We saw the opportunity and jumped. It was super scary.”

Moorman started a business after finding a product she loved and hoped to share. The tea bar utilizes products from Herbalife Nutrition.

“I started using the products and really liked them and they work for me and I really stand behind them,” said Moorman. “We have loaded teas, meal replacement shakes, protein-iced coffees, fat reduction shots, and different kinds of vitamins and supplements. We do single-serve, loaded teas and shakes here. Then, they can also buy some product to take home.”

Moorman said she previously worked at Flourish in Wapakoneta where her boss taught her “everything she knows.”

“My husband came up with the name Good Vibes because we not only want to sell tea,” said Moorman. “We want people to come in and get positivity and uplift them for the day.”

Just through an open door in the tea shop is the coffee shop, Reservation Alley.

“He does have seating available for Bible studies, group meetings and chit-chat with friends,” said Moorman. He has regular coffee and specialty drinks too.”

The couple hopes to not only serve the community but give back.
