Ohio State offensive lineman Enokk Vimahi wanted to transfer closer to his native Hawaii, so he’s uprooting and moving across the country to do so.
And thanks to the new-look Big Ten, he didn’t even have to leave the conference.
Vimahi will transfer to Washington for his final season of college football eligibility, he announced on Monday. He had entered the portal last week shortly before it closed to new entrants.
Vimahi spent five seasons with the Buckeyes, mostly as a reserve at multiple positions. His starts include Ohio State’s 2022 game against Michigan and last season’s Cotton Bowl against Missouri.
Now, he’ll be suiting up for the national runners-up in 2024. Ohio State and Washington aren’t scheduled to play one another next season.
