Roundup: Perry secures at least a share of NWCC volleyball championship

MORRAL — Perry defeated Ridgedale 25-17, 25-22, 25-23 to win at least a share of the Northwest Central Conference volleyball championship Thursday night.

Lexenna Lee had 10 kills and eight assists. Mary Hoersten with had seven kills and 16 digs, Alana Pernell had 21 digs and Alexa Burgess had six kills for Perry (18-3, 8-0 NWCC), which will try to win the conference title outright when the Commodores travel to Cory-Rawson on Saturday.

The Indians won 25-19, 25-18, 25-10.

Karleigh Hutchins had 17 kills, Kelly Cooper had 16 kills, Addie Maxwell had 38 assists and Grace Freiberger finished with 31 digs for Shawnee. Soraya Jackson had 10 kills and Savana Brooks had six kills for Allen East.

The Cavaliers won 25-17, 25-19, 25-17 to earn at least a share of the Midwest Athletic Conference championship at 8-1.
