Roundup: Lima Senior falls to Toledo St. John’s

TOLEDO — Lima Senior dropped its first game of the season 48-13 to Toledo St. John’s in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference opener for both teams.

Zavion Gardner had 102 yards rushing and a TD on 14 carries and Sumarion Doughty returned an interception 68 yards for another score for the visiting Spartans (3-1).

Defiance 28, Shawnee 12

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Shawnee’s Keegan Wilson caught a 64 yard touchdown pass from Dominic Lynch and teammate Tyler Kimmett connected on 21 and 42 yard field goals. Wilson finished with six catches for 116 yards.

Ottawa-Glandorf 12

ST. MARYS — Aiden Hinkle had two touchdown runs and Cody Wallace had a pair of TD passes to Brayden Sullivan for the Roughriders. Sullivan and teammate Cody Wallace also each had a touchdown. Landon Morman had a TD throw to Grant Schroeder and Cy Rump, who rushed 12 times for 108 yards, had a touchdown run for O-G.

Pandora-Gilboa 63, Arcadia 7

PANDORA — Three of Carson Meyer’s four touchdown passes went to Aidan Morris, who had six catches for 142 yards. Ethan Luginbill had 162 yards and three TDs on nine carries. Meyer’s other TD pass went of Colin Harris. Tanner Liechty and Ben Burkholder each had TD runs also for P-G.

Elgin 42, Perry 8

PERRY TOWNSHIP — Jason Thomas had a touchdown run for Perry.

Columbus Grove 48, Delphos Jefferson 6

COLUMBUS GROVE — AJ Schafer had three receptions for 104 yards, caught one of Brenton Renner’s two TD passes and also ran for a touchdown. Zach Reynolds had a touchdown reception and Trenton Barraza and Landon Best each had a TD run also for Grove. Trent Teman had a touchdown run for Jefferson.

Elida 31, Bath 10

ELIDA — Amari Wash had 130 yards and a touchdown on five carries for the host Bulldogs. Tyler Carter and Larkin Henderson each had a touchdown run, Jackson Covauult connected on a TD pass to David Etzkorn and Grant Hardeman converted a 38 yard field goal also for Elida. Bath’s Blaine Albright had three receptions for 105 yards and caught a TD pass from Kahne Sullivan. Teammate Jacob Lepley had a 33 yard field goal.

Coldwater 43, Anna 14

COLDWATER — Marcel Blasingame had three TD passes, two to AJ Harlamert and another to Braylen Harlamert, and ran for a pair of touchdowns. Braylen Harlamert also had a TD run.

Minster 41, Fort Recovery 21

MINSTER — Brogan Stephey ran 20 times for 181 yards and four touchdowns. Connor Schmiesing had a TD run and Chase Couse returned a kickoff 80 yards for a score also for the Wildcats. Cale Rammel had three TD runs for Fort Recovery.

Celina 27, Kenton 7

KENTON — Zander Jones ran 25 times for 114 yards and a touchdown, Landon Ackley had a TD run and returned an interception for a score and Nick Adams had a touchdown pass to Adam Faber for Celina. Korbin Johnston had a TD throw to Tyson Lawrence.

Marion Local 54, Delphos St. John’s 0

DELPHOS — Tate Hess had TD throws to Drew Lause, Kyle Otte and Victor Hoelscher and also ran for a touchdown. Darren Meier and Benton Seitz each had touchdown runs, Victor Hoelscher caught a TD pass from Ryan Homan and Drew Seitz returned a fumble for a score.

Parkway 14, St. Henry 0

ST. HENRY — Fletcher Smith had a pair of touchdown runs.

Leipsic 47, Ada 14

LEIPSIC — Hayden Hiegel had 118 yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries and Quinn Schroeder completed 19 of 25 pass attempts for 245 and a pair of TDs to Trent Seifker, who had seven receptions for 101 yards for Leipsic. Ada’s Kaine Fisher returned a kickoff 80 yards for a score and teammate Jalee Bolden had a touchdown run.

Huron 38, Lima Central Catholic 14

HURON — The Thunderbirds fell to 2-2 on the season.

New Bremen 14, Versailles 7

NEW BREMEN — David Homan and Hunter Schaefer each had a touchdown run for New Bremen.

FORT JENNINGS — Audra Hovest had two goals, Livia Recker had a goal and two assists, Alex Gardner had a goal and an assist, Meredith Bockrath, Lana Grime and Addy Miller each had a tally and Kendal Bockrath, Allie Kuhlman, Kaylyn Bockrath and Lauren Laudick each had an assist.

Kassidy Hipsher got the shutout in goal.

WAPAKONETA — Three Allen County schools will be traveling to Wapakoneta High School for matches today.

At 10 a.m., Lima Senior will play Wapak and Elida takes on Lima Central Catholic. At 11 a.m., Wapak plays LCC and Elida and Lima Senior play.
