ARCHERY

Allen County: The Allen County Archers will be holding 3-D shoots the first Saturday and Sunday of each month through September. It is open to all equipment.They are also holding traditional 3-D shoots on the third Saturday of the month all year long. They are open to all archery equipment.

BASKETBALL

Elida: The Dakota Mathias Camp will be held July 23-24 at Elida Fieldhouse. Sessions for those in kindergarten through fourth grade will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and those in fifth through eighth grades will have sessions from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Camp will stress fun and fundamentals. The experienced staff will include professional basketball players as well as current and former college players from all divisions to teach skills. Daily instruction on dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, guard skills, and post play. Elite guest speakers and professional experience sets this camp apart from others. CYCLING

Lima: Registration is open for the River Ride to be held July 25. This will be a full-service tour with sag service, swept paths, rest stops, Cracker Barrel box lunch and live music. FISHING

Delaware: On Oct. 10, BrushPile Fishing will be playing host to the “Never Give Up. Never Quit” Veterans Day Crappie Tournament.” This year it will be hosted at Delaware Lake. The tournament will be one day with two-person teams. Top three places will win cash prizes and the top five places will qualify to participate in the Crappie USA National Tournament held at Green River Lake in Campbellsville, Kentucky, on Oct. 23 and 24. FOOTBALL

Lima: The Football is Life Youth Football camp for boys and girls ages 6 to 18 will be held at Robb Park from 4-7 p.m. July 20-23. Coaches will consist of current and former NFL, college and Arena Football players. T-shirts will be included as well as a prize for camp MVP. Cost is $30. Lima: The Lima Family YMCA will be holding a Tee Up for Kids Golf Outing on Friday, July 10, at Hidden Creek Golf Club. Cost is $280 for a foursome and $70 per individual player. Lima: The Lima Senior football program will hold a golf outing beginning with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at Springbrook Golf Club. Cost is $60 per person or $240 per team and includes box lunch, cart and greens fees. The event will also include a 50/50 drawing, skins game ($20 per team), mulligans ($5 each, max 4 per team) and door prizes. Trophies will be awarded for first, second and third place. Bluffton: Bluffton University’s 23rd annual Alumni and Friends Golf Scramble will be held Saturday, July 25, at Bluffton Golf Club. Registration for the event is $90 per golfer or $360 for a complete team of four at bluffton.edu/golf by July 18. This year’s event will include on-course games and challenges to enhance team position and a silent auction. This event was created by Bluffton alumni Lynn Martin ’66, Rod McDaniel ’66 and Hub Reed ’68 for the purpose of providing an opportunity for alumni and friends to gather to renew friendships, to enjoy the game of golf and to provide financial assistance for TEAM Bluffton, which enhances Bluffton’s athletic programs by providing financial support for facility improvements, equipment purchases and special team development opportunities throughout the year.

Lima: The Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce’s 52nd annual Chamber Golf Classic will be Wednesday, Aug. 5, with tee times from 8 a.m. until noon. If allowed, there will be an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The locations of the Golf Classic will be Hidden Creek Golf Club and Colonial Golfers Club. Registrations now being accepted. Register a foursome or be placed with a foursome; tickets are $95 per golfer or $380 for a foursome. There are also 50/50 raffle tickets available for $10 each. Waynesfield: The 16th annual CMM West (Children’s Medical Missions West) Outing will be held Sunday, Aug. 9, at Prairie View. Ottawa: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Putnam County has rescheduled its ninth annual Golf For Kids’ Sake scramble event to Sunday, Aug; 30 at Pike Run Golf Club, 10807 Road H, Ottawa, beginning with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The cost per team is $260, which includes golf for four, two carts, range balls, drink tickets, goodie bags, and two meals. In addition, there are prizes for the first, second, third and highest score and hole prizes. A lunch sponsored by Arby’s will be given to participants prior to play and meals prepared by Uncle Bucks BBQ will be provided for dinner during the awards immediately following the event. First place will be $400 and par 3 holes will have hole in one prizes: including a chance at $10,000 hole in one prize. Door prizes will be accepted up to the day of the event. Lima: The Allen County Horseshoe Pitchers, located at 1815 C St., have openings in leagues and doubles. Open doubles begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturdays. Corn hole leagues are forming. Lima: Pickleball is played at Bradfield Center from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. All skill levels are welcome.

Lima: The Lima YMCA is holding open pickleball play from 10 a.m. to noon Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (appointment only). Pandora: The 2020 Ted Fest COED Adult Tournament is being held beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Pandora Community Park. Cost is $200 per team with each squad playing a minimum of two games. Grand Lake: The Grand Lake Fall League is taking registrations for the 2020 Fall League. The Fastpitch Softball league will be divided up into four divisions this year: ninth through 12th grade, sixth through eighth grade, third through fifth grade and a travel team division for 16 and under and 18 and under teams. The league will play two games on Sundays for five weeks; there are no practices as to avoid any conflicts with fall sports. TENNIS

Lima: The LATA tournament will be held beginning July 23 at the Collett Street Courts. Men’s, women’s and mixed doubles will be played. There will be no singles competition this year. Lima: The LATA summer camp starting with the basic fundamentals will be held from July 20-24. Junior Tennis for those ages 9-17 will be from 9:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. and Pee Wee Tennis for ages 5-8 will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Awards will be presented July 24. Junior Tennis is limited to the first 48 to register and Pee Wee Tennis will be limited to 32 players. Pre-register at Collett Street Courts from and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today. All players must be pre-registered. If there is a no show then the next person on the wait list will be invited. Those who do not have rackets can use those provided by LATA. Lima: The Lima Sabres have various shooting events. Thursday Trap Practice for Adults/Juniors/Beginners is 4 p.m. weekly. Adult Trap Practice is 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, weather permitting.
