PAULDING — Wapakoneta advanced to face Defiance on Friday after defeating fellow Western Buckeye League rival Van Wert. The Redskins will take on Defiance at 6:15 p.m. Friday.
Wapakoneta improves to 8-15 and Van Wert ends its year with an 8-15 mark.

ST. MARYS — St. Henry advanced to face Midwest Athletic Conference foe New Bremen after defeatingNew Bremen. The Redskins will play at 8 p.m. Friday at St. Marys.
St. Henry improves to 11-12 and New Knoxville finishes the season with a 2-21 mark.

ST. MARYS — New Bremen’s Nolan Bornhorst scored 23 points and Patrick Wells added 10 points. New Bremen will take on St. Henry. The Cardinals improve to 13-10 on the year and Ridgemont ends its year with a 15-8 record.
Paulding leaving the NWC
Paulding will be leaving the Northwest Conference according to several reports.
The Paulding School Board of Education will be holding a special meeting Friday to formally accept an invitation to the Green Meadows Conference.
Holgate was ousted from the Green Meadows Conference a month ago and Paulding is filling that void.
With the loss of Paulding, the Northwest Conference now is down to eight schools.
