Roundup: UNOH hurler Mailloux throws no-hitter

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — A seven-inning no-hitter by Olivier Mailloux in the second game of a doubleheader highlighted UNOH’s three-game sweep of UM-Dearborn in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action at Fisher Stadium on the University of Michigan campus. The Racers won 10-1 and 11-0 Saturday and 10-3 Sunday.

Against Mailloux, the Wolverines had a runner reach base on an error in the second and third, but the righty pitched out of both jams.

After UM-Dearborn’s Andrew Capone walked with one out in the sixth, Mailloux retired the final five batters he faced, finishing with nine strikeouts.

The no-hitter is the second in program history, joining the perfect game pitched by Damon Proctor at Union College on Feb. 11.
