GALION — A Parker Upton (Creighton) homer produced one of the two runs the Lima Locos scored in the top of the top of the seventh to get the lead for good in a 4-2 Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League victory Saturday night against the Galion Graders.

The Locos’ other run in the inning when Ethan Hurt (Trevecca Nazarene) scored from third on a Will Robertson (Creighton) grounder with one out.

Winning pitcher Chase Burks (Mercer) threw six innings, allowing two runs, 10 hits and no walks while striking out five. Joe Gahm (Auburn) threw three innings in earning the save, allowing a hit and a walk while striking out six.

JT Thomas (Mercer) and Hurt each had a single and a double and Tyler Tolbert (UAB) had two hits also for Lima (12-5).

The Locos remained in Galion to again take on the Graders (9-8) at 7:05 tonight and then play host to Licking County at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday at Simmons Field.
