Waynesfield to welcome Modified Lites

WAYNESFIELD — After being rained out twice, the third time might be a charm for Waynesfield Raceway Park this week.

For the first time in Waynesfield history, the Modified Lite Stars will make an appearance at the one-third mile track Saturday night. The series, a nonprofit formed over a love for motorcycle-powered racing, hosts events in several neighboring states including Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. The cars are miniature versions of regular Modifieds running 1000cc motorcycle engines. Waynesfield’s weekly Satellite Connections UMP Modifieds and Performance Powder Coating AMSA Mini Sprints are also be on the agenda. The Block Insurance Tough Trucks and Indian Lake Outfitter Compacts will round out the night of speed.

Pit side gates open at 4 p.m., grandstands at 5 p.m. Hot laps get under way at 6 p.m. with the first green flag flying at 7 p.m.

Adult general admission is $12. Those ages 11-15 years are $6 with all those under the age of 10 admitted for free. Pit passes are available for $25.
