Titans ranked third in Division II state poll

COLUMBUS — The Ottawa-Glandorf boys basketball team, sporting a 10-0 record, are ranked third overall in the Division II Ohio High School Basketball poll released Monday. Upper Sandusky is ranked first overall in Division II followed by Trotwood-Madison.

In Division III, Spencerville is ranked No. 14. Wayne Trace is ranked fourth and Versailles comes in at No. 7. Van Buren is ranked No. 13.

Fort Loramie is the top ranked team No. 1 in Division IV. Ayersville comes in at No. 3 and Fort Recovery is ranked No. 10

Girls basketball

Van Wert 40, Spencerville 22

Van Wert’s Abby Jackson scored 12 ponts and Ally Jackson added 10 points. For Spencerville, Jayden Smith scored six points.

Wayne Trace 64, Shawnee 51

SHAWNEE — Kaylee Shephard scored 21 to lead Wayne Trace and teammate Claire Sinn added 13 points. Brooke Sinn chipped in 12 points. For Shawnee, Alissa Stahler scored 20 points and Allie Boone scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Tickets on sale for Orthopedic Institute of Ohio Classic

ADA — The Orthopedic Institute of Ohio Classic featuring Bath against New Philadelphia and Wapakoneta against Olentangy is at the King Horn Sports Center on the campus of Ohio Northern University Saturday. Tickets for the event are $5 for adults and $2 for students. Lima Bath will play New Philadelphia at 6:15 p.m. and the Wapakoneta game will begin 20 minutes after the end of the first game, approximately 8 p.m. One ticket gets all spectators into both games.

Delphos St. John’s announces changes

DELPHOS — Due to low numbers in the Delphos St John’s program, the following adjustments have been made to this weeks’ girls’ basketball games the junior high girls game at Delphos St Johns, scheduled for today will be a single game only, tipping off at 5 p.m.

The junior varsity girls’ game vs Delphos St Johns on Thursday at New Knoxville will be only twp quarters in length and will tip off at the usual 6 p.m. start time. The varsity warm-up will begin immediately following the conclusion of the junior varsity game. Please plan on an early tip off for the varsity contest.

OSU Lima/Rhodes State 65, Wright State Lake Campus 51

LIMA — Brianna Smith scored a game-high 19 points for Ohio Sate Lima/Rhodes State and LaTrisha Edmonds added 11 points. For Wright State Lake Campus Kelsey Wertz pumped in 18 points and Onyx Lopez added 17 points.

OSU improves to 5-10 overall and 3-5 in the Ohio Regional Campus Conference . Wright State falls to 4-10.

Bluffton 65, Franklin 51

BLUFFTON — Bluffton moved into a tie for first place in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference after beating Franklin. Junior forward Kaycee Rowe (Allen East) scored 14 points and grabbed 16 rebounds and senior Rachel Beining (Ottoville) had 10 points and 13 rebounds.

The Beavers improve to 11-2 overall and 5-1 in the HCAC. Franklin falls to 6-6 for the season and 4-2 in the conference.

OSU Lima/Rhodes State 95, Wright State Lake Campus 65

LIMA — Four different Barons broke the double-digit barrier in scoring. Leading the way was Michael Schuster with 19 points followed by Beau Hefner with 17 points. Matthew Carpenter added 16 points and Logan Mitchell chipped in 13. For Wright State, Seamus Anglin scored 15 points and Jake Ryan had 10.
