OTTAWA — The Ottawa American Legion baseball team will be holding a Fan Appreciation Night at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Memorial Field when the Fighting 63rd takes on Pemberville.
Muddy the Mud Hen and Muddonna, mascots of the Toledo Mud Hens, will be on hand and available for pictures. Prizes, including Mud Hens tickets, will be given away. Admission is free and concessions will be sold. Ottawa travels to Troy today for a 7 p.m. game.

COLUMBUS — Marion Local’s Kyle Homan and Emily Mescher and Coldwater’s Jackson Hemmelgarn were among 36 recent high school graduates to each receive $1,000 scholarships as part of the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s annual college scholarship program.
