Kahne, Larson to race at Waynesfield Raceway Park

WAYNESFIELD — NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers Kasey Kahne and Kyle Larson are scheduled to take part in the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions event Saturday night at Waynesfield Raceway Park.

With Sprint Cup not racing this weekend, the duo will return to racing on a dirt track.

The All Star stop will mark the second night of the eight-night sweep through the Buckeye state. Current All Star point leader Dale Blaney will be looking to pick up his second win in the past three years at Waynesfield. Blaney picked up the All Star win in 2014 and placed inside the top 10 one year ago. Ohio native Sheldon Haudenschild comes into the event after claiming the victory last year over veteran drivers James McFadden, Tim Shaffer, Randy Hannagan, and Steve Kinser.

The K&L Ready Mix NRA Sprint Invaders also will return for the second straight weekend.

Pit side gates will open at 3 p.m. Grandstand gates open at 5 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 6 p.m. with racing scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Adult general admission is $22, those ages 11-15 years old are admitted for $11 with children under the age of 10 admitted for free. Pit passes are available for $35.
