Big seventh inning life Locos to 10-4 win at Lake Erie

FLAT ROCK Mich. — The Lima Locos (3-2) beat the Lake Erie Monarchs 10-4 on Saturday at Flat Rock Field after a six-run explosion in the seventh inning.

Three of Lima’s runs in the seventh came a double by Jacob Barnwell (Ohio State), who finished with four RBI.

Cas Silber (High Point) picked up the win, allowing three runs, three walks and five hits while striking out six in six innings of work.

Colin Stolly (Ohio Wesleyan/Lima Central Catholic) had three hits and two RBI, Logan Quimuyog (James Madison) and DayFran Ortiz (University of Northwestern Ohio) each had two hits and an RBI and Jeremy Johnson (Auburn) had two hits also for the Locos.

Lima will next play at 7:05 tonight against Lake Erie (3-4) at Flat Rock Field in Flat Rock, Michigan. The Locos return to the Lima area for a 7:05 p.m. Monday game against Grand Lake at Montgomery Field in Celina. Their next home game at Simmons Field will be at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday against Licking County.
