Locos fall to Lorain County 6-4

LORAIN — The host Ironmen scored three times in the fourth and fifth innings to give the Lima Locos their second straight Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League defeat 6-4 Friday night at The Pipeyard.

The Locos scored once in the third and twice in the fourth for a 3-0 advantage before Lorain County’s offense awakened.

Jeremy Johnson (Auburn) and Jacob Corso (Central Florida) had two hits each, Jason Sullivan (Central Michigan) had a hit and an RBI and Colin Stolly (Ohio Wesleyan/Lima Central Catholic) had two RBI for the Locos.

Lima (2-2) will next play at 7:05 tonight against Lake Erie at Flat Rock Field in Flat Rock, Michigan. The Locos return to the Lima area for a 7:05 p.m. Monday game against Grand Lake at Montgomery Field in Celina. Their next home game at Simmons Field will be at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday against Licking County.
