Letter: Don’t besmirch character of entire TFC leadership

I’d like to direct an inquiry to Becky Hartung after Sunday’s letter, “Teens for Christ board must resign, start over.”

Where did you get all of your misinformation about TFC’s present leadership? Truly you don’t know anything of them, especially Pastor Rich Rakay. You can’t find a more dedicated person who represents the teachings of Jesus Christ. How do you make an all-encompassing assessment of someone you clearly don’t know?

Why do you think no one, but possibly you, can oversee a process of making the TFC the wonderful organization that it was. There are always a few “bad apples,” and they need to be thrown away, but you don’t need to kill the ones that made it a truly great organization for needy kids.

Do you know this same organization works in Nepal, Bangladesh, India and the Philippines in Asia? They also have operations in Africa, Europe and I don’t know where else. They are doing a great service, and they need to be commended for their good work, not condemned!

If you wish to be a real help to the organization, contact them through [email protected].

They would be able to answer all your questions. You might be able to make a real contribution.
