Letter: Farmers reap what they sow

Farmers in this area are waking up to the reason John Kasich, Cliff Hite and Keith Faber can brag they balanced the budget and cut income taxes.

Since most farmers in this area voted overwhelmingly for these politicians, they can hardly say they’ve been ripped off.

There was only one way this group could erase the $8 billion debt and that was to cut off aid to cities and counties and stick the local governments and farmers to fend for themselves and to increase their taxes in some cases 200 to 300 percent as reported in The Lima News on April 24.

Think what the national budget would look like with Kasich as president. The tax liabilities would be sent back to the states while he “balanced” the Federal budget.

Don’t forget Cliff Hite, Keith Faber and Kasich wrote this so-called balanced budget.

You reap what you sow, unfortunately!
