Letter: Ouch! Flu shots mandatory at St. Rita’s

What would you do if when you went to your workplace and they informed you that you had to get a flu shot to try to prevent you from getting sick even if there was a strong possibility you could still get sick and they told you if you weren’t in compliance you would be fired.

Let’s say that your employer was Mercy Health ( St Rita’s) and in your job you do not take care of patients, nor are you in the main hospital. You are off site miles away in an office in your cubical taking care of clerical work.

You never call in sick. If you were sick you would stay home. Where does it end? Just because it’s a hospital doesn’t mean they know what’s best for their employees health especially in this situation.
