Letter: Congress vs. Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood too costly for the U.S. Budget ?

I almost choked when I read that. Here are some interesting facts: The Speaker of the House makes $223,00 a year. Majority leaders make $194,000 a year while our Senators and Congressman make a poultry $174,000.

Since they are so overworked by being in there office only 230 days out the year, they have an office staff paid by American taxpayers between $2 to $4 million a year.

If they need to vist a doctor, while in Washington or any where in the country, it’s free. They also have free memberships to health spas, country clubs, and of course golf courses. Lets not forget their free admission to any college or Pro Sports games. Airlines free, rail travel, free rental cars and parking. Free vacations, free meals and other exspensive gifts given to them by lobbyists.

Last but not least, they can play the stock market and invest with information, not made public but only to them . The average American family makes less than $25,000 a year, with both parents working fulltime jobs. Speaking of jobs, all these Washington people, never have to sign up for a retirement. These salaries and other gifts are for a lifetime.

So who really is a burden to the financies in Washington.

Surely not Planned Parenthood.
