Abortion protestwent too far

As I was driving with my 3 younger children on Sunday down Main Street for a meeting at the Civic Center, imagine my surprise and horror to see our beautiful Town Square filled with extremely graphic photos of abortion.

As my 6-year-old said, “Mommy why is that baby bleeding?”

I just told her to look away and ignore it.

When I parked my car, the protesters attempted to approach me but when they saw my look they backed off. I understand that this is freedom of speech, but the way it was being presented is what angers me. I don’t care what your beliefs are. Imagine your 6- and 9-year-old daughters asking you why there is a baby foot next to that penny with blood on it. I don’t get offended much, but when the sweet older lady with a pamphlet about abortion attempted to give one to my 14-year-old son as we were leaving, I had enough and she got a big piece of my mind.

It was extremely tasteless in my eyes and could’ve been done with a little more class and way less shock value.
