Letter: Hating the sin, loving the sinner

I am disappointed in many of my Christian brothers and sisters. I have written letters against homosexuality, abortion, and Muslems this year. And some of my Christian brothers and sisters have come at me with two Bible verses. “Love your neighbor as you love yourself” and “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.” I say back, no I love the sinner more than they do because I want them to turn to Christ and away from Satan.

Matthew 7:1+2 “Do not judge or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measure to you.”

In this verse Jesus really spoke the Hebrew word. Krino for judgment which means that you should not judge the person on their appearance but if you really love them you should want them to quit their sin so you want to judge the sin and try to help them to quit, not enable them to keep sinning. Which many people that really loved me in my lifetime judged my sins and urged me to stop or at least to repent. Thank goodness for those people that loved me and judged my sins and told me about my sins. Because if a person is willfully sinning it is not Jesus who judges, but their very actions condemn them.
