Letter: A ‘night out’ to remember

I would like to thank all who were involved in this year’s Night Out Against Crime in downtown Lima. This was the first time our family attended, but it won’t be the last.

Our granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed herself. Lima firefighter Warren Pughsley was delightful as he entertained children as the voice of Patches the Fire Dog. Representatives of the neighborhood associations as well as the police and fire departments were so friendly and welcoming. Everyone in attendance seemed to have a genuinely good time.

It made me proud to be a part of the Lima community. Well done!
