Letter: Hospital skipping lunch was unacceptable

Recently, my son was a patient in Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center. The hospital is beautiful! The surgeon was wonderful, and the nurses were great. Superb!

But lunch, even though he was supposed to select his food, he was never given the opportunity. Meals were just brought whenever. One day, lunch was canceled. Yes, canceled, no food. He went until around 7:30 p.m. before he was brought anything to eat.

This can’t be an accredited hospital, surely.
