Delphos man pleads not guilty to child pornography charges

LIMA — A Delphos man recently pleaded not guilty in Allen County Common Pleas Court to 39 counts involving child pornography.

Travis Mercer, 43, was indicted on five counts of illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance, 10 counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person, and 24 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person. The first five counts are second-degree felonies and the rest are fourth-degree felonies. The indictment said these incidents occurred between Oct. 1, 2022, and Nov. 4, 2023.

Mercer is being held in the Allen County Jail on a $250,000 bond. Mercer’s attorney, Assistant Public Defender Megan McLean, filed a motion Friday to reduce bond. A pretrial is scheduled for Nov. 12.
