LIMA — The Salvation Army is distributing collection boxes for its annual Toys for Tots campaign this week.
Passersby are encouraged to deposit new, unwrapped toys for children into the collection boxes found in Lima-area businesses, government buildings, schools and fire and police stations.
The holiday gift campaign is a partnership between the Salvation Army, U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and Lima Noon Optimist Club.
Donations will be accepted through Dec. 13, with toy distribution taking place Dec. 19-20.
